FLD believes that skill and knowledge levels in rural Cambodia need to be increased and
diversified. Farmers should no longer depend on rice growing alone, as other resources already exist that can provide
new foods and opportunities that will improve rural livelihoods.
Backing this belief, FLD has specific training courses, like the
household mushroom production course.
Alongside rice growing, mushroom production, increases income
generation and utilises use existing resources
such as straw, bran, sawdust and water hyacinth.
